“Don’t get lost in your thoughts. Fall into the soul, and the soul will take you to the water.” -Rumi

Our Spring Group is FULL.

Please register your interest here to be contacted when our next group opens. Starting late summer of 2026.

The Deep Well is an online contemplative community for those longing for depth, nourishment, and embodied presence in the midst of everyday life.

We meet bi-monthly for 8 sessions on Zoom for 90 minutes in a small, closed container of 8–12 participants.

Optional meeting times are offered and can be selected during pre-registration.

This is a space to slow down…
to listen inwardly…
to be witnessed without performing…
and to receive what the soul has been holding, while strengthening your capacity to meet yourself with steadiness and care.

If you feel drawn to depth, mystery, embodiment, or communal presence, you are welcome here.

A Place of Living Water

Across ancient cultures, wells were not only sources of water,
they were thresholds, meeting places, sites of encounter and healing.

Wells appeared where nourishment was hidden beneath the surface, where strangers became kin, and where the unseen world brushed close to the human one.

In desert lands they were lifelines, offering nourishment where none was visible.

In myth, they were womb-like vessels, places of receptivity and wisdom, where offerings were lowered

into the depths.

To draw from a well was to touch something hidden yet essential, to be replenished by what flows

beneath the surface of life.

The Deep Well is such a place for us.

A gathering to pause and listen.
To drink from what is already flowing within.
To be met, witnessed, and replenished, together.

To practice presence in community and deepen our capacity for grounded, authentic living.

Here, grief and gratitude rise side by side.
Here, what resists is welcomed with tenderness.
Here, nothing is forced, and nothing is wrong for arriving.

To enter the Well is to practice receptivity and attunement:

  • listening for what is alive,

  • honoring what is ready to be seen,

  • respecting what still waits for its season,

  • and remembering that no one drinks alone.

  • Over time, this practice strengthens our capacity for steadiness, honesty, and relational depth in everyday life.

As tender of the Well, my role is to anchor our gatherings in presence and steadiness, creating a vessel where each soul can meet what is alive with reverence.
I listen for what is felt beneath the words and gently guide compassionate inquiry into what is arising.

“The mother of the world is not gone. She waits for us in the depths, and she is not silent.” -Safi al-Din (Sufi mystic)

About the Facilitator:

Summer Estes is a licensed psychotherapist, group facilitator, and founder of Embodied Intelligence, a body of work devoted to tending the thresholds of the human experience—grief, transformation, and opening to presence. With nearly 20 years of guiding groups, retreats, and healing spaces, she creates transformative containers where people can bring what they carry and be met with presence, reverence, and warmth.

A lifelong student of consciousness and the soul’s unfolding, Summer integrates perennial wisdom teachings with somatic inquiry, breathwork, and contemplative practice. Her work is rooted in the recognition that the body and the earth hold an innate intelligence, an ever present field of support waiting to be remembered.

In addition to her private psychotherapy practice she is a grief ritual retreat leader, a breath facilitator, and Enneagram teacher. She continues her own inner work through the Diamond Approach of A.H. Almaas, where the practice of inquiry remains a central spiritual path. She was a student with the Servant Leadership Wisdom School (now Kinward) and serves as a facilitator with Kinward since 2016.  She is deeply influenced by the grief-tending vision of Francis Weller, whose teachings on the “Five Gates of Grief” inspire her seasonal grief rituals and retreats with co-facilitator Samantha DiRosa with Rituals for Grief.

Summer lives in North Carolina with her husband Kevin, their teenagers, Abby, Levi, and August, and their beloved two dogs (Rosie and Bear) and two cats (Potter and Doug). Whether guiding a grief ritual, facilitating embodied inquiry, or simply walking beneath the trees, she remains devoted to the mystery of love made visible through presence.

"Summer undoubtedly has a knowledge base, deeply intuitive nature, and wisdom that has allowed me to become a believer of what the enneagram offers and promotes, which I believe is healing. I am thankful for the ways in which Summer provided me with the skills and tools to really see myself and begin to trust myself."

—Genesis Adams

"I highly recommend Summer's classes. I really value her ability to incorporate practice into her workshops and to foster open and co-creative spaces. Summer has a great way of inviting presence, and has helped me to dig into what I am noticing and use it to enhance my understanding of myself and my journey."

—JIM DONNELLY

"Over the past 5 years I have participated in workshops and classes, in person and virtually, led by Summer. She has an amazing spirit that creates a sacred space for discovery, trust, vulnerability and acceptance. My spiritual journey and discipleship have been fueled with her by my side."

—Julie Nelson

Awareness of interpersonal relationships is in part a gift to us as we seek to understand. Getting better acquainted in who we are, how we function, where we see ourselves in relationships, I think gives us a healthier perspective of humanity. I have found that this enneagram workshop is the bow that unwraps this gift.
